Alexandria, MN: Bob Beliveau's Float Fly on Lake Darling, is to be held on Saturday, June 28th. Wives and kids are also welcome to attend. Flying will start at 10am and the day will conclude with an evening meal. You are welcome to bring along a dessert to share if you wish. Bemidji, MN: 28-29, June 2008. Host-North Country Model Controllers. This is the one you've been waiting for! "Collective Madness" Heli only fun fly! A one time landing fee for the event is $12.00 dollars. Noon lunch will be available. Also, a 50/50 raffle. You must be a current AMA member in good standing to fly. Primitive camping only, (no hookups), but we have a LOT of camping space for tents, campers and RV's. Arrive a day or two ahead of time if you like. Pilots landing fee is $10.00 with registration at 8 AM and flying from 9 AM till dusk. Concessions and noon meal available. Fun Fly and some Fun contests. Also on the fall news page, are photos of the ground crew enhancing the flying field by spreading new soil and seeding the model field which will improve the flying surface.
Minot, ND: 23-24, August 2008. The Minot Aircraft Modelers will again host "The International" - a weekend of open flying & RC Aviation Fellowship for the whole Family. The International happens at our beautiful 15 acre flying site featuring two 600' smooth grass runways, Indoor overnight Model storage with electricity for charging, RV electrical hookups, on site RV Dump and there's even wireless internet. The Weekend starts with a pot-luck supper Friday evening, Breakfast Saturday morning followed by a day of open flying, the Minot Aircraft Modelers are known for their Saturday evening Banquet quality meal, Breakfest Sunday Morning and more open flying. Noon lunch will be served. The landing fee includes a dinner on Saturday night and entry into a pilot's raffle. In the regular raffle one of the prizes will be a Spektrum DX6i 6 channel radio!! You must be a current AMA member in good standing to fly. (Don't forget your AMA card) There will be evening camp fires and the locally famous "fry shack" will provide free campfire treats. Primitive camping is available, (no hookups), but LOTS of room for tents, campers, and RV's. Flyers have arrived as early as Tues., so come early if you desire. All planes and heli's are welcome!

Grand Rapids, MN: 6-7 September, 2008. The Itasca R/C Club second annual Float Fly will be held at the Hill City public beach on Hill Lake again this year. Tons of convenient free parking with a small fee charged by the city for those wanting overnight camping with hookups in their wooded site right on the shore. Showers and toilet facilities.
